This Program must be administered as soon as possible. When reporting the repair, use "PI3004" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and "T" as the SIMS Description Code. Exception: If the repair is done after failure, use "PI3004" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.

New software needs to be installed on certain D5M, D6M, D6R, D6R XL, D6R XR, D6R LGP, D6R XL, D6R, D6R LGP, D6R XR, D6R, And D7R Tractors. The existing software can "unload" and leave the tractors inoperable. The new software also provides enhancements to inprove service procedures.

REWORK PROCEDURE
Equipment Required:
1. Laptop with E.T. for using "Winflash" (Version 1.5 or 1.6)2. SENR8367-02 Powertrain Electronic Control System Service Manual3. 7X1570 Cable or 139-4166 Cable (Data link connection to Communication Adapter)4. 7X1425 Cable (Communication Adapter to PC)5. 7X1700 Communication Adapter6. 4C8195 Control Service Tool ("Clicker Box")Rework Procedure:
1. Power up PC and connect the Communication Adapter service tool port to the PC serial port.2. Connect the Communication Adapter control port to the data link service connector on the lower left of dash.3. Turn the machine key switch to "ON". (Be sure parking brake switch is in the "ON" position.)4. Start E.T. and use "Winflash".5. Insert software ( 145-9389 ) disk.6. Select appropriate drive for disk.7. Select file being displayed for disk drive.8. Select "Begin flash". When complete "Flash download completed successfully" will be displayed.9. To exit select "File" from upper menu bar and then select "exit" and enter.10. Turn machine key switch "OFF" for 10 seconds then back "ON" to activate
