Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Lubricate all O-ring seals with 1U-6396 O-Ring Assembly Compound prior to assembly of the water pump.
Remove any gasket material from the mating surfaces of the water pump housing and the cover plate prior to the assembly of the water pump.

Press the shaft and the bearing into the water pump housing.

Install the new mechanical seal with Tool (A) and the press.

Use a press in order to install impeller (10) on the drive shaft in the water pump.

Install O-ring seal (9) in elbow (8) .

Position elbow (8) on water pump (1) and install bolts (7) .
Install hose nipple (6) and the O-ring seal in water pump (1) .

Position cover plate (3) and the new gasket on water pump (1) .
Install bolts (2) and washers that fasten cover plate (3) and the new gasket on water pump (1) .
Install O-ring seals (4) and (5) in cover plate (3) .End By: Install the water pump. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Water Pump - Install".
