Removal Procedure
Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.

Disconnect hose assemblies (1) and harness assembly (2).

Loosen clamp (4).
Remove diesel exhaust fluid injector (3) and the gasket (not shown).Installation Procedure

Install the new gasket (not shown), diesel exhaust fluid injector (3), and clamp (4).
Tighten clamp (4) hand tight.

Connect harness assembly (2).
Prior to the installation of the DEF supply line, follow Step 4.a through Step 4.g to flush the DEF supply line.
Turn the battery disconnect switch to the ON position.
Connect the electronic service tool. Refer to Troubleshooting, "Electronic Service Tools" for the correct procedure.
Remove cap from the DEF supply line. Place the open end of the DEF supply line in a suitable container, with a capacity greater than 2 L (0.5 US gal).
Select the DEF dosing system accuracy test. Refer to Troubleshooting, "DEF Dosing System Accuracy Test" for the correct procedure.
Hold the DEF supply line above the suitable container. Run the DEF dosing system accuracy test for maximum of 90 second. Ensure that the DEF supply line is not immersed in the DEF fluid in the suitable container.
Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.
Use Tooling (A) to clean any DEF fluid from the end of the DEF supply line.

Connect hose assemblies (1).

Tighten clamp (4) to a torque of 4 N m (35 lb in). Ensure that clamp (4) remains in Position (X).
Lightly tap the circumference of clamp (4) with a soft faced hammer to correctly seat clamp (4).
Repeat Step 6 and Step 7 as needed to achieve the correct torque value.
Perform the DEF Dosing System Verification Test. Refer to Troubleshooting, "DEF Dosing System Verification Test" for the correct procedure.
