In some applications the square halogen work lights are not providing acceptable service life. The 9X-3463 bulb used in the lights is failing due to vibration and/or shock inputs to the light by normal work conditions.Solution:
Caterpillar is aware of the problem and is working towards a solution. In the interim, make sure the lights have 12.7 mm (.50 in) to 19.0 mm (.75 in) clearance all around the light to allow for normal flexing of the light without contacting the light guards.
