Install three studs (18) to the undercarriage for installation of the upper structure, as shown below.Note: Studs (18) are only for alignment. Remove studs (18) after the upper structure has been aligned with the undercarriage. Do not lower the upper structure into position until studs (18) are removed.

Slowly lower upper structure (16) to undercarriage frame (17) with Tooling (A), (B), and (C). Use the load leveler and the ratchet puller to adjust the balance of the upper structure. Weight of the upper structure is approximately 1878 kg (4140 lb). Weight of the undercarriage frame is approximately 1417 kg (3125 lb).Note: The total weight of the machine is 3550 kg (7826 lb). The cab, the swing motor and the hood have been removed for this story.Note: Completely clean both mating surfaces prior to lowering the upper structure.

Apply a thin coat of 4C-5599 Anti-Seize Compound on bolts (15). Connect grease tubes (14) and (13) .
Install eighteen bolts (15) and washers to the upper structure, as shown above. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 105 5 N m (77 44 lb ft).

Connect lines (12), (11), and (9) to the swivel.
Connect line (10) .

Connect lines (8), (7), (6), (5), and (4) to the swivel.

Remove Tooling (A), (B), (C), and (D) from the upper structure, as shown above.
