Removal Procedure
Main
Lower the screed on to suitable cribbing.

Remove six nuts (2) and the six washers.
Remove plate (3), plate (4), and plate (1).

Remove six nuts (5) and the six washers from the back side of the main frame.Note: There are three nuts and three washers on the top and three nuts and three washers on the bottom main frame.

Attach a suitable lifting device or use two people to remove right side deflector assembly (6). The weight of deflector assembly (6) is approximately 32 kg (71 lb).
Loosen nut (7) on the threaded adjuster. Remove deflector assembly (6).
Repeat Step 4 through Step 6 on the left side of the main frame.Extenders
Fully extend the extenders.
Lower the screed on to suitable cribbing.

Remove the four bolts, the four washers, and cover (8).

Remove the five bolts, the five washers, and rubber flashing (9).

Remove three nuts (10).

Loosen two jam nuts (11) on the threaded rod.
Attach a suitable lifting device or use two people to remove right side deflector assembly (12). The weight of deflector assembly (12) is approximately 42 kg (93 lb).
Repeat Step 3 through Step 7 to remove deflector assembly (12) on the opposite side.Installation Procedure
Install deflector assembly (6) and deflector assembly (12) in the reverse order of removal.
Tighten three nuts (10) to a torque of 40 10 N m (30 7 lb ft).
Set deflector assembly (12) 12.5 1.5 mm (0.5 0.06 inch) from the bottom of the screed plate.
Tighten two jam nuts (11) to a torque of 50 10 N m (37 7 lb ft). Verify the height of deflector assembly (12) after tightening.
Set deflector assembly (6) 12.5 1.5 mm (0.50 0.06 inch) from the bottom of the screed plate.
Tighten two jam nuts (7) to a torque of 40 10 N m (30 7 lb ft). Verify the height of deflector assembly (6) after tightening.
Tighten six nuts (5) to a torque of 40 10 N m (30 7 lb ft).
Tighten six nuts (2) to a torque of 40 10 N m (30 7 lb ft) and then back off nuts (2) half a turn.
