Rework Procedure
For detailed removal and installation instructions, refer to UENR0251, Disassembly and Assembly, "Piston Motor (Hydrostatic) - Remove" and "Piston Motor (Hydrostatic) - Install".
Inspect the mounting holes on the frame for elongated holes. Use the appropriate rework procedure below, depending on the damage found.
1. If bolts are loose and no damage is noted on the frame:
Replace the hardware on the affected motor using 306-4247 Square Neck Bolts, 1S-4305 Washers, and 6V-7687 Locknuts. Replace one bolt at a time in order to preserve the integrity of the sealant. Tighten the bolts in the sequence shown in Image1.1.1 to a specified torque of 40 +/- 10 N.m. Then, tighten in sequence to a specified torque of 110 +/- 10 N.m. If the other motor passed the static torque check, re-tighten the bolts in sequence to a specified torque of 110 +/- 10 N.m.

2. If the square frame holes are damaged:
- Build a template according to Image1.2.1.

- Weld up the outside eight frame holes, shown colored in Image1.3.1. Grind flush.

- Mount the template on the inside frame using the two remaining bolt holes.
Note: Your template will not have the large center hole shown in Image1.4.1.
- Drill eight 14mm diameter holes.

- Remove the template. Weld up the remaining two frame holes.
- Mount the template on to the inside frame.
- Drill the remaining two 14mm holes.
Note: Clean the mating surfaces of the machine frame and the drive motor ensuring that no sealant or oil is present. Ensure that the mating surface is flat and even.
- Prior to installing the 280-7854 Motor Group, apply a fresh bead of Loctite 17430 Anaerobic Sealant along the motor flange around the bolt holes. Refer to Image1.5.1.

- Use 8T-4194 Hex Head Bolts, 8T-4223 Hard Washers, and 8T-4244 Hex Nuts in order to mount the drive motor.
- Tighten the bolts in the sequence shown in Image1.6.1 to a specified torque of 40 +/- 10 N.m. Then, tighten in sequence to a specified torque of 110 +/- 10 N.m. Once the drive motor is installed, run a 3mm bead of Loctite 598 around the mating surface on the inside of the chain box. Refer to Image1.6.2.
