24 Volt System Installation (Illustration 3)
Connect the 504-3334 BSOC Harness to the LIN2CAN module. Route leads from pins 8, 10, and 11 to the battery box.
Remove the negative terminal and ground strap from Battery B and discard.
Cut lead from pin 8 to length required to reach the negative terminal post and crimp a 9G-9435 Ring Terminal to the lead. Pull on ring terminal to ensure a good crimp. Before installing the battery state of charge sensor onto Battery B, assemble new 523-2254 Cable As (Ground Strap) and the lead from pin 8. Torque the terminal post nut to 20 2 N m (15 1 lb ft).
Install the battery state of charge sensor on the negative battery post of Battery B as shown in 4. Torque the clamping nut to 6 1.5 N m (53 13 lb in). Connect ground strap to chassis.
Remove battery terminal from the positive post of Battery B and install 523-2256 Battery Harness. Torque the clamping nut to 7.2 1.5 N m (64 132 lb in).
Remove the negative terminal and harness from Battery A and discard.
Cut lead from pin 10 to length required to reach the negative terminal post on Battery A. Install a 9G-9435 Ring Terminal to the lead. Pull on ring terminal to ensure a good crimp. Before installing the battery state of charge sensor onto Battery A, assemble the 523-2256 Battery Harness from Battery B and the lead from pin 10. Torque the terminal post nut to 20 2 N m (15 1 lb ft).
Cut the lead from pin 11 to length required to reach the positive post of Battery A and crimp 9G-9435 Ring Terminal to the lead. Pull on ring terminal to ensure a good crimp.
Remove the clamping bolt from the positive terminal and replace with the 514-7965 Square Head Bolt supplied in the kit. Install the first nut onto the new clamping bolt and tighten to 7.2 1.5 N m (64 132 lb in) of torque.
Attached ring terminal onto the clamping bolt and install the second 5S-0003 Nut and torque to 6 1.5 N m (53 13 lb in).
Connect the sensor harnesses and route the leads back to the LIN2CAN converter. Cut the excess length from the sensor harnesses and route the leads back to the LIN2CAN converter. Cut the excess length from the sensor harnesses and install 9X-3402 Connector Socket on each lead. Pull on each socket to ensure a good crimp. Insert the socket for lead 2 (Purple) from the Battery B sensor into position 9 of the harness connector. Install socket for lead 1 (Blue) from the Battery B sensor into position 3 of the harness sensor. Insert the socket for lead 2 (White) from the Battery A sensor into position 7 of the harness connector. Install socket for lead 1 (Brown) from the Battery A sensor into position 2 of the harness sensor. Pull on each lead to
