Problem
Introduction of the 131-2946 Accumulator Charge Valve has resulted in incorrect readings of nitrogen pre-charge pressure inside the accumulator. The 131-2946 Accumulator Charge Valve requires replacement with a 1521805/">152-1805 Valve. The new 1521805/">152-1805 Valve provides increased thread engagement in accumulator and a gas vent relief from both the cap and body if either the schrader valve leaks or the valve is removed from the accumulator without the nitrogen precharge being released.

Rework Procedure
Lower suspension systems to the service position on D25D, D30D, D250E, D300E, D350E and D400E Trucks using procedure described in the relevent Operation and Maintenance Manuals.
The gas valve can blow out without warning if loosened while there is still nitrogen gas in the accumulator. This can cause personal injury. Do not attempt to remove the gas valve until all nitrogen gas pressure has been released.
The suspension system may drop the machine suddenly, leaving no clearance between the axle housing, main frame, tires and mud guards. Working in these areas can result in personal injury or death by crushing. Stay clear until the enigne is stopped and the suspension is lowered into the service position.
If the accumulator needs to be charged, be sure to use dry nitrogen only. Charging the accumulator with oxygen gas will cause an explosion. For charging procedures see the proper testing and adjustment procedure in the appropriate service literature for your machine.
1. Remove cap (Item 1).2. Loosen body section (Item 2) one and one half turns to back off taper seat (Item 3), while doing this, hold hex portion of main valve body to prevent the valve unscrewing from
