Information:
High voltage levels are present within the UPS. The UPS should be opened only by service personnel that are qualified. The UPS must have a proper ground connection to earth.
Failure to connect the unit to a suitable grounding electrode creates an electrical shock hazard. An electrical shock will result in serious personal injury or death.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) suitable to the work being performed must be worn when performing maintenance on the UPS.
High voltage is present. Work on this equipment must be performed by authorized trained personnel. Personnel must be wearing Personal Protective Equipment that meets regulatory requirements to protect the body for the work that is being performed. Failure to use appropriate PPE to protect the body will result in serious personal injury or death.
Performing maintenance inspections with power supplied to the UPS may result in serious personal injury or death. When using an external maintenance bypass, the UPS can be fully de-energized. When using an internal maintenance bypass, the UPS is not fully de-energized. Refer to the Building System Schematic to ensure that all necessary precautions have been taken before performing any maintenance procedure. Use lock out and tag out procedures as required.
The following tests will verify the load transfer sequence and the maintenance bypass operation of the unit.Configure the UPS for Test mode before beginning this tests as follows:
Place the MAINS 1 (Q1) input switch in the On (closed) position.
Place the MAINS 2 (Q4S) input switch in the ON (closed) position.
Place the output switch in the ON (closed) position.
Place the battery disconnects in the ON (closed) position.
Place the internal maintenance bypass switch in the OFF (open) position.
Turn off the inverter if the inverter is not off already.Reverse Transfer Operations
Ensure that the UPS is in normal operation.

The "Normal Mode Load Not Protect" message is present.
The "UPS ON" LED (49) is not illuminated.
The audible alarm activates.
The audible alarm can be silenced.Forward Transfer Operations
Press the ON button (47) .
Verify the following:
The voltage transfers from the output bus to the inverter.
The "Normal Mode Load Protected" message is present on the graphical display.
The "UPS ON" LED (49) is illuminated green.Maintenace Bypass Operation
Note: During this operation, do not open the Mains 1 (Q1) input switch. If this switch is opened, you will have to wait a minimum of 5 minutes before the UPS can be restarted. This period allows the DC capacitors to discharge.
Transfer to the Internal Maintenance Bypass.
Ensure the UPS is in normal operation
Press and hold the OFF button (46) for 3 seconds to stop the Inverter.
Silence any alarms and verify that the load transfers to the Static Bypass.
