Conditions Which Generate This Code:443-1 (Warning)The engine has been running for three minutes and the pressure that is sensed by the auxiliary pressure sensor has exceeded the warning trip point for system protection.443-2 (Derate)The engine has been running for three minutes and the pressure that is sensed by the auxiliary pressure sensor has exceeded the derate trip point for system protection.443-3 (Shutdown)The engine has been running for three minutes and the pressure that is sensed by the auxiliary pressure sensor has exceeded the shutdown trip point for system protection.System Response:443-1 (Warning)The Electronic Control Module (ECM) will log the event.443-2 (Derate)The Caterpillar Electronic Technician (ET) displays "Engine Derate" on the status screen.443-3 (Shutdown)The ECM will log the event.Cat ET displays "Injection Disabled" on the status screen.443-1 (Warning)Engine operation is not affected.443-2 (Derate)The ECM will derate power by 25 percent. The power will be derated at one percent per second.Note: The derate will be cancelled if the auxiliary pressure drops 10 kPa (1 psi) below the derate trip point for the programmed amount of time.443-3 (Shutdown)The engine will shut down.Test Step 1. Use Cat ET to view the parameter setting for auxiliary pressure. Verify that the set points are valid for the application. Refer to Troubleshooting, "Event Codes".Determine the events that caused the high pressure condition. Make corrections in order to prevent the high pressure from recurring.Results:
