1. Remove bolts (1) that hold the upper bucket pins in place. Install tooling (A) as shown to the tilt link pin.2. Fasten a strap and a hoist to tooling (A) and to tilt link (2). Remove the pin with tooling (A) and lower the tilt link to the floor.3. Do Steps 1 and 2 again for the other tilt link.4. Remove the two bolts and washers (3) form both ends of the lower bucket pins.5. Make sure a support (4) is under the lift arms so they can not fall when collets (5) are removed.6. Use tooling (B) to remove collets (5) from both ends of the two lower bucket pins. 7. Loosen three bolts (6) at the end of both lift arms.8. Use tooling (C) to remove the lower bucket pins part way. Remove the 6V2698 Sleeve Assembly [part of tooling (C)] and use the 7F6068 Sleeve Assembly with the remainder of tooling (C) to remove the pin from the bucket.9. Step 8 is necessary only if the lower bucket pins are tight in their bores.10. Fasten a hoist and remove the bucket. The weight of the bucket is approximately 1724 kg (3800 lb). INSTALL BUCKET
1. Put clean 5P960 Multipurpose Grease on the pin bores and pins for the bucket. Fasten a hoist and put bucket (1) in position on the lift arms with the lower pin bores in the bucket in alignment with the pin bores in the lift arms. The weight of the bucket is approximately 1724 kg (3800 lb).2. Install lower pin assemblies (2) with plugs (3) in the pin assemblies at the top. 3. Be sure pin (2) is in the center of the lift arm. Tighten bolts (4) to a torque of 475 50 N m (350 37 lb ft).4. Put 2P2506 Anti-Seize Compound on the inside and outside diameters of collet (5). Put the collets in position on the pin assemblies with the small pins in the collet in alignment with the pin holes in the pin assemblies.5. Install the bolts and washer (6) that hold the collets in place. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 875 N m (645 lb ft) then hit the bolts with a hammer to cause a reduction in the torque to below 465 N m (343 lb ft). Tighten the bolts again to a torque of 875 N m (645 lb ft), then hit the bolts with a hammer to cause a reduction in the torque to below 700 N m (515 lb ft). Tighten the bolts again to a torque of 875 100 N m (645 75 lb ft).6. Use a strap and a hoist to put the bore in tilt link (7) in alignment with the pin hole in the bucket.7. Install tooling (A) on the end of pin (9). Be careful not to damage the seals in the tilt link. Install the pin (9) with the
