(5) Turn Signals Perform the following procedure in order to align the headlights:
Verify that the tires are inflated properly.
Position the machine in the following manner when you adjust the headlights:
Park the machine in a dark area.
Park the machine on level ground.
Face the machine toward a wall with 10 m (32.8 ft) between the wall and the face of the headlights.
Place a second person or 75 kg (165 lb) in the operator seat.
Turn on the headlights.
Cover one headlight.
Loosen the other headlight clamp.
Move the headlight so that the headlight is pointing straight ahead. Measure the height from the ground to the center of the headlight.
Twist the headlight so that the upper edge of the light that is shown on the wall is two-thirds of the height from the ground to the center of the headlight. Ensure that the line of the light that is shown on the wall is horizontal.
Tighten the headlight clamp.
Repeat the process for the other headlight.
