Illustration 1. The 6V4135 Halogen Leak Detector, the 6V4078 Maintenance Kit and the 6V4134 Circuit Board. The automatic detector will find leaks as small as 14.15 g (.5 oz) per year. As the 6V4135 Halogen Leak Detector is moved nearer the leak, the sound from the detector increases in frequency and speed.
When the detector is turned on, calibration is done automatically in the unit. No warm up time is necessary. Also, large amounts of the gas will not damage the sensor (pick up).
The 6V4135 Halogen Leak Detector comes with a case, two "C" size batteries, an earphone, a leak source, an extra tip protector, an extra sensing (pick up) tip, six filters and an owner's manual.
A 6V4078 Maintenance Kit and 6V4134 Circuit Board also are available. The 6V4078 Maintenance Kit has a leak source, three tip protectors, two sensing (pick up) tips and 12 filters.
The 6V4134 Circuit Board has most of the electronic components used in the detector. The board can be installed for quick repair.
The 6V4135 Halogen Leak Detector is a direct replacement for the 5P8585 Halogen Leak Detector.
Procedure For Installation Of 6V4134 Circuit Board
1. Remove the screw in battery cover and the battery cover.2. Remove the two batteries, the parts, the knob, the four screws and the cover. See Illustration 2.

Remove the two speaker wires shown in Illustration 4.6. Remove the old circuit board.7. Use solder and a soldering iron to connect the speaker wires to the terminals on the circuit board. See Illustration 4.
Illustration 4. Location of speaker wires.8. Put the new 6V4134 Circuit Board in the front cover.9. Use solder and a soldering iron to connect the two black wires, the white wire and the red wire to the circuit board. See Illustration 3.10. Use a drop of epoxy glue on the five supports for the circuit board (where the tabs were cut for removal of the board).11. Install the back cover, the knob and the four screws.
