1     6V-9829 Cap As    Use the following procedure to remove the vent lines. Make sure that all the required parts are available prior to performing this procedure.
Drain the coolant circuit for the aftercooler into a suitable container.

Remove the parts that are shown in Illustration 1. The parts will not be reused.

Remove the parts that are shown in Illustration 2 for area (A) and for area (B). Retain bolts (8) and hard washers (9) for later use.
Look in the hole of the former location of adapter (10). Look for any signs of coolant leakage around the boss. Replace the aftercooler core if a leak is detected.

Install a new O-ring seal (13) onto plug (12). Lubricate the O-ring seal with glycerin. Install the plug into the vent boss of the aftercooler.Torque ... 20 2 N m (15 1 lb ft)
Install a new O-ring seal (11) and (14). Install bolts (8) and hard washers (9) that were retained.
Hose assembly (5) was once connected to a fitting at area (C). Use a 6V-9829 Cap As to cap the fitting at area (C). Refer to Illustration 1.
Fill the system with coolant and check for leaks.
