( 3 ) New Carrier Rollers must be used when replacing the Supports.Repair Procedure for the D7E STD Track-Type Tractors
The repair procedure is intended to cover all STD heavy-duty undercarriages.
Prior to removal of the damaged component, record the horizontal dimension and the vertical dimension from the surrounding surface to the pivot shaft centerline.
Remove all paint from area that is to be reworked.
Air arc the welds in order to remove the entire fabricated pocket and carrier roller support.
Install the new carrier roller into the new carrier roller support. Position the new carrier roller support on the outer surface of the track roller frame.
Align the centerline of the new carrier roller with the centerline of the idler and sprocket.
Simultaneously reposition the new carrier roller centerline with the prerecorded vertical and horizontal dimensions.
Tack weld the new carrier roller support.
Remove the new carrier roller for weld accessibility.
Finish welding the new carrier roller supports into position.
