Each sensor is mechanically positioned with diodes that determine the current flow.The shift lever position sensor provides the Power Train/Chassis Electronic Control Module with information about the transmission control position. The shift lever position sensor is mechanically connected to the transmission control inside the shift console.The transmission gear position sensor sends a signal to the Power Train/Chassis Electronic Control Module. The signal indicates the transmission gear that is currently engaged. The transmission gear position sensor is mechanically connected to the shift cylinder.
