Weigh Range
The Cat® "Production Measurement Application" weighs material during the lift/swing segment of machine operation. The application measures the weight of the material in the bucket as the bucket is in motion. The system automatically detects the start of the truck loading process. The accuracy of the material weight is 5% with 95% confidence. The "Production Measurement Application" helps the owner/supervisor create an analysis of the truck loading cycle. The cycle begins at the time of the initial digging through filling the truck, including machine idle time. The Cat "Production Measurement Application" includes an indicator to alert the operator that one final bucket is needed to fill the truck. The indicator can also indicate that the truck is overloaded. This feature ensures that each truck is loaded to the optimum level without being overloaded.Payload Cycle
The Cat ® Production Measurement Application is used to monitor the excavator through the five phases of operation. These phases are illustrated and explained below.

(1) Dig - The weight from the previous bucket is displayed. If the previous load only obtained an “Estimated Payload” , “Weigh Status” displays a solid BLACK indicator. If a “Scaled Payload Obtained” is determined, the “Weigh Status” displays a solid GREEN indicator.
(2) Lift - The bucket payload shows an "Estimated Payload" as soon as the bucket is closed and lifted. The "Weigh Status" will show the "Estimated Payload Weight Status".
(3) Swing (Start) - "Bucket Payload" weight begins to converge with swing data. "Estimated Bucket Payload" is displayed. "Weight Status" indicator displays the symbol for "Estimated Payload Status".
(4) Swing (End) - Weight of material is determined. “Bucket Payload” for current cycle is updated and “Weigh Status” displays symbol for "Scaled Payload Obtained".
(5) Dump - When material is dumped, "Truck Payload / Payload Remaining / Bucket Count" are updated.
(6) Return - Bucket is lowered to begin excavation. "Weigh Status" shows "Scaled Payload Complete"Note: Between the "Lift" and "Swing" stages and the "Dump" and "Return" stages, see "Bucket Tip-Off" section for more detailed system information and operator options about partial buckets during "Dump" action.Truck Store Key
When loading is complete for a specific truck, press the "Truck Store" function key (1) (on the monitor) or the right joystick (if enabled).By selecting the "Truck Store" function, the following information will be cleared on the status bar:

The "Truck Store" key is on the far right side of the operator display.
After selecting the Truck Store function, the following information will be cleared from the status bar:
Truck ID
Pass Count
Truck Weight
Time and Date that the truck was loaded
Weight of each pass
Time and Date of each pass by the excavatorNote: "Payload Information" within the "Work Monitor (Truck/All)" display is also updated.Load Cycle Indicator
The Cat "Production Measurement Application" includes a visual indicator to alert the operator that the truck requires one final cycle to complete the loading process. Prior to "Last Cycle" the green indicator will fill the center portion of the target indicator. When the target amount is reached for the truck, the GREEN indicator fills the entire
