Information:
Typical drawbar group with bolt-on ball. (1) Bolt-on ball. (2) Cap. (3) Shims. (4) Bolts. (5) Shaft. (6) Adapter.1. Separate the drawbar from the frame. Refer to the appropriate Service Manual Module.2. Measure the end play between ball (1) and face (A) of cap (2).3. Install shims (3) between cap (2) and adapter (6) to provide proper drawbar ball clearance. Mating surfaces (B) must be free of paint and lubricant. The cap and adapter must move freely on the ball.4. Tighten bolts (4) to the torque specified below. 12G, 14G, 16G, 130G, 140G & 160G...520 20 N m (382 15 lb ft) 120G...524 20 N m (385 15 lb ft)5. Connect the drawbar to the frame. Refer to the Service Manual.6. Use new seals when reconnecting oil lines.7. Check all connections for leaks and make repairs as needed.
