Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove the fumes disposal group.
Remove the left side access door and covers.

Disconnect harness assemblies (1) . Remove clip (7) and disconnect hose assemblies (4). Position hose assemblies (4) out of the way.
Disconnect clamp assembly (5) and (6) .
Remove bolts (3) and remove exhaust gas valve (2) .Installation Procedure
Install exhaust gas valve (2) in reverse order.
Tighten clamp assembly (6) to a torque of 8.5 2 N m (75 18 lb in).Disassembly Procedure
Start By:
Remove the Exhaust Gas Valve.

Remove temperature sensor (1) .
Remove bolts (2). Separate actuator assembly (3) from the valve housing (4) .

Remove nut (8), washer (7), and solenoid (6) .
Remove spool (5) .

Remove O-rings (9) and (10) from spool (5) .Assembly Procedure

Lubricate all of the O-ring seals with the lubricant that is being sealed.
Install O-rings (9) and (10) onto spool (5) .

Install spool (5) into the valve housing. Tighten spool (5) to a torque of 50 5 N m (37 4 lb ft).
Install solenoid (6), washer (7), and nut (8) .
Tighten nut (8) to a torque of 20 2.5 N m (177 22 lb in).

Fill Cavity (X) halfway full with Tooling (A). Cavity (X) is found on the valve housing.

Position actuator assembly (3) onto valve housing (4). Tighten bolts (2) .
Install temperature sensor (1). Apply Tooling (B) to the threads on temperature sensor (1). Tighten temperature sensor (1) to a torque of 45 5 N m (33 4 lb ft).
