Apply 5P-3931 Anti-Seize Compound on the bearing bores in the frame.
Lubricate the sealing lips on seals (4) and (11) with 5P-0960 Molybdenum Grease. Position seals (4) and (11), and press the seals into bearing caps (6) and (10).
Cool bearing cups (8) to a temperature of −62° 10°C (−80° 18°F).
Position lower bearing cap (10), and retain lower bearing cap (10) in place. Install three equally spaced bolt and washers (5) to retain lower bearing cap (10) in place.
Install lower bearing cup (8) into the bore of the housing. Drive the bearing cup downward to ensure contact with lower bearing cap (10).
Lubricate bearing cones (9) with oil and install the bearing cones.
Install upper bearing cup (8). Drive the bearing cup downward to ensure light contact pressure on the bearing cones.
Install 1.85 mm (0.0728 inch) shim (7), upper bearing cap (6), and three bolts (5). Install the bolts so that the bolts are 120 degrees away from each other. Tighten the bolts by an equal amount.
Adjust the rolling torque to rotate the bearing cones. As required, use shims (7) to attain the correct amount of rolling torque. The rolling torque should be not less than 14.7 N m (130 lb in). The rolling torque should not be greater than 32.8 N m (290 lb in).
Install 12 bolts (5). Tighten the bolts to a torque of 150 20 N m (110 15 lb ft). Tighten the bolts by an extra 120 10 degrees.Procedure to Install the Upper Hitch Pin

Use two eyebolts to connect retainer plate (17) to pin (21). Use two bolts (18) to align plate (17). Cool upper hitch pin (21) to −62° 10°C (−80° 18°F). Align the bores in the upper hitch. Then insert the pin into the bores. Permit hitch pin to warm to ambient temperature.
Use three equally spaced bolts and washers (24) and attach lower retainer plate (22) to hitch pin (21). Tighten the bolts to a torque of 460 60 N m (340 45 lb ft).
Measure the gap between the bottom of pin (21) and retainer plate (22) with a depth gauge through the small hole near the center of retainer plate.
Remove plate (22). Then reassemble retainer plate (22) with a measured
