1 2 372-5858 Band Clamp Use the following procedure in order to tighten the nut of the band clamp:
Before assembly, lubricate the threads with Loctite C5A Copper Anti-Seize.
1. Tighten the first nut approximately 10 mm (0.4 inch) of exposed threads are remaining beyond the nut.
2. Tighten the second nut approximately to 20 N m (177 lb in).
3. Then, tighten the first nut to 20 N m (177 lb in).
4. Gently hit around the band clamp with a soft hammer.
5. Again, tighten the first nut to 30 2 N m (266 18 lb in).
6. Then tighten the second nut to 30 2 N m (266 18 lb in).
7. Again, gently hit around the band clamp with a soft hammer.
8. Again, tighten both the nuts to 30 2 N m (266 18 lb in).
2 2 330-9746 Connector As Before assembly, apply black Loctite Gasket Maker #2 to the threads.
3 12 293-5490 Bolt Before assembly, lubricate the threads with Loctite C5A Copper Anti-Seize.
Torque to 40 3 N m (30 2 lb ft).
