Attach Tooling (B) and a suitable lifting device to housing (9) . The weight of housing (9) is approximately 39 kg (85 lb). Remove bolts (10) . Remove housing (9) and the gasket.

Slide cover (12) outward on Tooling (D) . Attach Tooling (B) and a suitable lifting device to cover (12) . The weight of cover (12) is approximately 39 kg (85 lb). Remove cover (12) and the gasket.
Repeat Steps 6 and 7 for the opposite side.

Attach a suitable lifting device onto cover (14) . The weight of cover (14) is approximately 68 kg (150 lb). Remove bolts (13) . Remove cover (14) and the gasket.Installation Procedure

Install Tooling (D) . Position a new gasket on Tooling (D) . Apply Tooling (E) in order to fill the open end of the seal groove at each of the four corners. Apply a continuous bead of 5 mm (0.2 inch) diameter between Point (A) and Point (B) at each of the four corners.
Attach Tooling (B) and a suitable lifting device to cover (12) . The weight of cover (12) is approximately 39 kg (85 lb). Position cover (12) onto Tooling (D) . Remove Tooling (B) .

Slide cover (12) into position on Tooling (D) . Install bolts (11) . Remove Tooling (D) and install remaining bolts (11) .
Repeat Steps 2 and 4 for the opposite side.

Attach Tooling (A) and Tooling (B) onto aftercooler (7) . Attach a suitable lifting device onto Tooling (A) . Attach Tooling (C) onto Tooling (B) . The weight of aftercooler (7) is approximately 590 kg (1300 lb). Position aftercooler (7) to the engine.

Install bolts (8) . Repeat for the opposite side.

Tighten clamps (1) . Connect tube assembly (6) . Position elbow (3) on the connector and elbow (5) .Note: When elbows (3) and (5) are connected. Ensure that there is 1.0 mm (0.04 inch)spacing between elbows (3) and the connector and between elbow (5) and the connector.Note: Ensure that there is 3.0 mm (0.12 inch)clearance between the air inlet manifold and the tubes coming out of the aftercooler. The clearance between the air inlet manifold and the tubes coming out of the aftercooler are in order to prevent rubbing.
Install the washers and bolts (2) . Install bolts (4) .
Repeat Step 9 and 10 for the opposite side.End By: Install the air cleaners.
