start by: a) separation of trackb) remove track carrier roller (front)1. Install two 1"-8 NC forged eyebolts in the support for the front track carrier roller. 2. Fasten a hoist to the support and lift the front of the track roller frame until nut (1), bolt (3) and sleeve (2) can be removed. Lower the track roller frame until the equalizer bar is free of the support.
Do not remove the hoist from the track roller frame at this time.
3. Remove bolts (4) and guard (6).4. Remove two bolts (5) and move the two hydraulic lines away from the track roller frame.5. Remove the two guards from over the sprocket.6. Fasten a hoist to the rear track carrier roller as shown. 7. Remove four bolts (7) and cap (8). 8. Remove bolts (10) and two caps (9) that hold the diagonal brace of the track roller frame to the bevel gear case.9. Lower the rear of the track roller frame until the diagonal brace is clear of the bevel gear case and the track roller frame is free of the sprocket support. Move the track roller frame away from the machine.
Make sure the track roller frame does not hit the equalizer bar when it is removed. Weight of the track roller frame is 10,000 lb. (4536 kg).
10. Remove pin (11) and two seals (12) from the diagonal brace. 11. Remove the shell from the diagonal brace with tool (A).Install Track Roller Frame
1. Install shell (1) in the diagonal brace with tooling (A) until the shell is in the center of the brace. 2. Install the two seals in the diagonal brace with tool (B). Install the seals with the lip toward the outside of the brace. 3. Install pin (2) in the diagonal brace. 4. Fasten a hoist and chain to track roller frame (3) as shown. Move the track roller frame in and to the rear of the machine.
Do not hit the equalizer bar when the track roller frame is put in position.
5. Lift the rear of the track roller frame until the diagonal brace makes contact with the bevel gear case and the outer part of the frame makes contact with the sprocket support. Make sure the diagonal brace is in the correct position in the bevel gear case. 6. Install cap (4) and the four bolts that hold it. Do not tighten the bolts.7. Tighten the four bolts to the correct torque as follows: a) Tighten the two rear bolts to a torque of 1200 150 lb.ft. (1627 203.4 N m).b) Tighten the two front bolts to a torque of 1200 150 lb.ft. (1627 203.4 N m).c) Measure the distance between the two front bolts with a feeler gauge. Remove the two front bolts and install shims of the correct thickness (the distance measured) between the cap and track roller frame. Install the two front bolts and tighten them to a torque of 1200 150 lb.ft. (1627 203.4 N m).
