These systems work together. The electrical system turns the automatic lubrication system on and off at periodic intervals. These intervals are referred to as lubrication cycles. Control unit (6) communicates with lube pressure switch (4). The electrical system also controls the parameters of the lubrication system. The operator can change the parameters with a diagnostic tool. Metering units (3) distribute the lubricant to the bearings through the primary lubrication line and the secondary lubrication line. The metering units are available in different sizes. Each size delivers a different amount of grease per cycle.
