Pressurized air can cause personal injury. The air supply lines are pressurized to 830 kPa (120 psi).Purge the air from the system before performing any maintenance to the air system.
Personal injury can result from being struck by parts propelled by a released spring force.Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment.Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to release the spring force.
Park the machine on a hard, level surface. Lower the scraper bowl to the ground and chock the wheels. Disengage the parking brake and leave the machine running in order to release the brakes.

Remove cover (1) from brake actuator (2) .

Remove plug (3) from brake actuator (2) .

Install Tool (A) to brake actuator (2) .
Shut the engine off and apply the parking brake.

Open three air tank drain valves (4) in order to purge the air from the system.

Disconnect two hose assemblies (5) and pin (6) from brake actuator (2). Remove two nuts (7) and remove brake actuator (2) .
