The installation can be customized to fit the vessel aesthetics, however, the package can not be modified in any fashion.* Four mounting holes are provided on the flange.* Secure the interface module (GPSIM) as close as possible to the display. Wiring between the GPSIM and display must be no greater than 300 mm (12 in).Mount the GPSIM in a location that is protected from exposure to moisture.Environmental Specifications

The GPS Interface Module (GPSIM) can be used with an Engine Vision or Engine Monitoring System (EMS) display. The GPSIM has a 24 VDC power requirement. If a 12 VDC electrical system is used, the GPSIM requires a 12 VDC to 24 VDC converter. Use 5A circuit protection on the 24 VDC +Battery supply to the module.

Connect the 7C2668 Diode Block pin-1 and pin-2 to the +V input of the 12/24 volt converter (12 VDC vessel electrical systems ONLY).4. Connect the 24 VDC output to the +B terminal on the GPSIM. For 24 VDC systems connect pin-1 and pin-2 to the +B terminal on the GPSIM.5. Connect the 24 VDC output to the common terminal of a SPST switch.6. Refer to the table below for the proper pin numbers for your engine arrangement. 1. Connect the PORT ECM pin for CAT Data Link- to the STBD ECM pin for CAT Data Link-.2. Connect the PORT ECM pin for CAT Data Link+ to the STBD ECM pin for CAT Data Link+.3. Connect the Customer Connector pin for CAT Data Link- to the CAT Data Link- terminal on the GPSIM.4. Connect the Customer Connector pin for CAT Data Link+ to the CAT Data Link+ terminal on the GPSIM. Use 143-5018 Data Link Cable for the CAT Data Link connections.
