DO NOT remove fuel line (A) from the nozzle. Nozzle and fuel line are serviced as an assembly. Nozzle removal, installation and testing must be done with fuel line (A) attached to the nozzle. Removal and/or installation of fuel line (A) will cause a change in the factory-set orifice spray direction of the nozzle tip, and this will cause the engine to smoke and give poor performance.Refer to the Service Manual and/or Operation Guide for removal and installation procedure. If needed, use the 6V6976 Nozzle Puller Group. DO NOT BEND FUEL LINE (A).If a nozzle has been removed and is to be used again, always install a new and correct part number compression seal (1) and carbon seal (2). Use 6V4979 Seal Tool to install carbon seal (2).For nozzle testing procedures and specifications, refer to the following Special Instructions: Form SEHS7292, Form SEHS8325 (Chart), Form SEHS8326 (Chart).
