1. Add mounting holes to the plastic dash for the new gear indicator per Illustration 2.

Illustration 3. Mounting hole in the steel dash plate for the new indicator.3. Drill a hole for the new harness in the bottom of the center console in the cab. See Illustration 4. Insert the new grommet in this hole.4. Add the rubber seal to the bottom of the new gear indicator.5. Bolt new indicator to the dash.6. Remove the harness cover from bottom center of the cab.7. Install the new parts service harness up through the hole in the bottom of the cab console.8. Disconnect the harness that was connected to the former indicator on the console, and reconnect this harness to the new harness. Secure this connection with the existing clip on the harness.9. Route the new harness forward through the floorplate tunnel and up to the underside of the dash. See Illustration 5.

Use both new clips to fasten the connectors to the back of a piece 75 mm by 125 mm (3" by 5") behind the dash.The new and former parts used in production are listed in the following chart:
