This Program can only be administered after a failure occurs. The decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer. When reporting the repair, use "PS50102" as the Part number and "7755" as the Group Number. Use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.
Although this Program is to be administered as described above on the Affected Product, parts should be removed from parts stock as soon as possible.

The cab door latch assembly may not function properly on certain CH65E, CH75E, CH85E and CH95E Challenger Tractors. Excessive force might be required for proper latching, or the latch might fail. If the current latch does not provide acceptable performance, an improved design latch assembly should be installed.

Reference Illustration 1 when completing the following rework steps.
1. Open the cab door.2. Remove the two (2) 8T7014 Button Head Screws and two (2) 4E2712 Washers attaching the 1365303 Latch Cover to the doorframe. Retain the parts.3. Remove the four (4) 4M5281 Bolts and four (4) 8T4205 Hard Washers attaching the existing 1409124 Latch As. to the doorframe. Retain the fastener hardware.4. Install the new 1724184 Latch As. Retain with three (3) 4M5281 Bolts, one (1) 4M5282 Bolt, and four (4) 8T4205 Hard Washers. The 4M5282 Bolt (-20 x 1 -inch long) is new, and must be installed in the lower threaded hole position. The remaining bolts and washers were removed in Step 3.5. Reinstall the 1365303 Latch Cover using the two (2) 8T7024 Button Head Screws and two (2) 4E2712 Washers removed in Step 2. Tighten to 6 1 (53 9 in-lb).6. Adjust the latch striker mounted to the cab frame for proper door closure.
