Note: When required, an additional 7 hours labor is allowed for each 9G-9175 Carrier that is replaced.
Note: When required, an additional 3 hours labor is allowed to inspect the runout on one sprocket hub. There are two sprocket hubs per tractor.
Note: When required, an additional 12 hours labor is allowed for each 9G-9180 Hub-Sprocket that is replaced.
Note: If after failure, when required, 50 hours labor is allowed to clean the Final Drives, Brakes, Differential Steering and Transmission systems due to internal final drives components damages generating metallic particles. Evidences of above systems contamination by metallic particles and final drives damaged components shall be attached on machine repair service claim.
Note: If after failure, when required, 25 hours labor is allowed to clean the Torque Converter due to internal final drives components damages generating metallic particles. Evidences of above system contamination by metallic particles and final drives damaged components shall be attached on machine repair service claim.

Dear Cat Product Owner:
The 9G-9175 Carrier and 9G-9180 Hub-Sprocket should be inspected and replaced if necessary on the products listed below. The existing components can be dimensionally non-conforming generating a final drive oil leak into the transmission or damaging final drive planetary gears and sun shaft. You will not be charged for the service performed.
Contact your local Cat dealer immediately to schedule this service. The dealer will advise you of the time required to complete this service.
If you are no longer the owner of this product(s), please contact your local Cat dealer so that our records can be updated. Please refer the dealer to their Service Letter dated 03Nov2015 when scheduling this service.

Rework Procedure
1) On both right and left hand 9G-9175 Carriers, locate the foundry mark, (Image 1.1.1). If the foundry mark contains a "G" like that in Image1.1.1, the carrier must be replaced. If the foundry mark is different, no actions are required.

2) On both right and left hand 9G-9180 Hub-Sprocket, locate the foundry mark (Image 1.2.1). If the foundry mark contains a "BRM" like that in Image 1.2.1, perform a runout test according to Step 3. If the runout exceeds 0.13mm, (0.005") the hub-sprocket 9G-9180 must be replaced. If the foundry mark is different, no actions are required.

3) Run Out Test: (Need to be performed only if required on Step 2).
3.1) Separate track and remove it from final drive sprockets;
3.2) On each Final Drive, remove the 9G-9175 Carriers and Sun Shafts 3W-6551 (Left) / 9G-8637
