Reassemble the relief valve. Install adapter (5) into valve group (12). Attach tube (4) to elbow (2) with nut (3) .Note: Ensure that valve (10) is properly seated before tightening any components.
Lower the cab. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cab -Tilt".
Refer to "Testing the Relief Pressure (Lower)" in order to test the new relief pressure (lower).
Repeat Steps 1 through 10 until the relief pressure (lower) is correct.Adjusting the Relief Pressure for the Hoist System (Type 2)
Lower the body. Move the hoist control to the FLOAT position and shut off the engine.Note: If the relief pressure (raise) is adjusted, the relief pressure (lower) will be affected. The relief pressure (lower) must only be adjusted when the relief pressure (raise) is correct. The relief pressure (lower) may be adjusted independently of the relief pressure (raise).Adjusting the Relief Pressure (Raise)
Relieve the system pressure before you adjust the relief pressure for the hoist system. Refer to Systems Operation, Testing and Adjusting, "General Information".

Relief valve (1) is located beneath the cab on the left side of the machine. (2) Elbow (3) Nut (4) Tube
Loosen nut (3) and remove tube (4) from elbow (2) which is installed into relief valve (1) .
Install a 6V-9828 Cap As onto elbow (2). Install a 6V-9507 Face Seal Plug into tube (4) .

Loosen locknut (6). Turn body (5) fully into body (7). Do not overtighten body (5). At the same time count the number of turns of the body in order to aid in the setting of the relief pressure (lower) later in the procedure.
Tighten locknut (6). This action has pushed piston (10), compressed spring (11) and valve (12). This will allow you to adjust the RAISE pressure setting.
Loosen locknut (8). Turn body (7) into body (9) or out of body (9) in order to achieve the correct setting of the relief pressure (raise). Turning body (7) clockwise by 60° will increase the relief pressure (raise) by approximately 1227 kPa (178 psi). Turning body (7) counterclockwise by 60° will decrease the relief pressure (raise) by approximately 1227 kPa (178 psi).
When the relief pressure (raise) for the body is set, tighten locknut (8) to a torque of 12 N m (8.8 lb ft).
Retest the relief pressure (raise) for the body. Refer to "Testing the Relief Pressure (Raise)".
If the relief pressure (raise) for the body is incorrect, repeat Steps 6 and 7.
When the relief pressure (raise) for the body is correct, loosen locknut (6). Rotate body (5) in
