4) Reuse the hardware for replacing the old 5T8919 Bearing (B) on the cab, the hardware that mounts the 322-9754 Bracket (H) on the engine, the throttle pedal, and the lever and its hardware at the end of the throttle pedal?s shaft.
5) On the new throttle cable, assure the cable seals cover the rod ends as they cover the assembly?s housing. These seals are to prevent moisture, dirt and debris from entering the inner cable. Route the cable along the cab, between the elevator and ejector control cables, looping it forward to the governor lever and bracket on the engine.
6) The throttle pedal travel needs to be adjusted to reach high and low idle engine speed. To do this, loosen hardware (F) that holds the 281-0665 Bracket, (E), to the cab. Slide this bracket to the most rearward position in the elongated mounting slots. Adjust the cable bulkhead fitting nuts to the most forward position as possible toward (D), 7X7662 Rod End. Adjust the 7X-7662 Rod End to full depth thread engagement and tighten the adjustment nut on the 281-8204 Cable As. (G) and attach it to the foot rod lever.
On the engine side, the throttle cable should be positioned along a central plane between the maximum and minimum angles of deflection that occur as the engine governor arm rotates. Position the cable between the deflection angles so that the angles are the same. See Image 1.2.1 below.

The final rpm adjustment can be made at the connection of the quick disconnect 309-7046 Ball Joint (I), and the 281-8204 Cable As, (G). Adjust the idle by adjusting the thread engagement of the ball joint which affects the length of the cable assembly. The low idle spec is 825 rpm, and the high idle spec is 2490 rpm.

Group Number 2
Group 2 machines only need the 322-9754 Bracket, H, replaced. Refer to Image 1.1.1. This bracket holds the throttle cable away from the front corner of the cab.
All of the other parts have been factory installed on Group 2 machines.
Group Number 3
Perform Group 1 Rework Procedure. The part listing and the rework procedure is the same. Also refer to Image 1.1.1 and Image 1.2.1.
Group Number 4
Group 4 machines only need the 322-9754 Bracket, H, replaced. Refer to Image 1.1.1. This bracket holds the throttle cable away from the front corner of the cab.
All of the new parts have been factory installed on Group 4 machines.
Group Number 5
1) Remove the hood from the tractor.
2) Remove the existing throttle cable and spring, the cable?s mounting brackets, throttle pedal shaft, and the old rod bearings (K) attached to the outside of the cab.
3) Reuse the hardware for mounting the 5T8919 Bearing (K) on the cab. Reuse the hardware from the throttle cable mounting brackets for mounting the 309-4104 (N) and 282-0539 Brackets (P). Reuse the lever and its hardware at the end of the 309-4105 Shaft. Reuse the block spacer behind the governor bracket on the engine.
