Use Tooling (D) to force pinion (25) from bearing cone (31) and carrier (30).

Use Tooling (E) to remove bearing cone (32) from pinion (25).

Remove bearing cups (33) from carrier (30).

Remove bolts (35).
Remove support bracket (34) and shims (36) (not shown).

Remove bevel gear (38) from housing (39).

Attach Tooling (F) and a suitable lifting device to brake housing (40). The weight of brake housing (40) and housing (39) is approximately 150 kg (335 lb).
Remove bolts (41).
Remove brake housing (40) and housing (39) from final drive housing (42).

Remove bolts (43).
Remove retainer (53) and thrust washer (52).
Remove hub (49). Remove friction discs and brake plates (44).
If necessary, remove ring (45) from hub (49).
Remove thrust washer (55).
Remove bolts (46) evenly.
Remove retainer (51), piston (58), and O-ring seal (60) from brake housing (40).
Remove seal ring (54) from retainer (51).
Remove seal ring (59) from piston (58).
Remove bolts (47) and remove plate (50) and shims (48).

Use Tooling (G) to separate brake housing (40) and bearing cone (61) from housing (39).
Remove bearing cone (61).

Attach Tooling (F) and a suitable lifting device to brake housing (40). The weight of brake housing (40) is approximately 77 kg (170 lb).
Remove brake housing (40) from housing (39).

The component will be destroyed if the component is removed.
If necessary, remove bearing cone (62) from housing (39).
