(1) 300-8579 Bolt (2) 298-6389 Spacer (3) 340-9840 Special Nut Note: The orientation of the bolt heads and the spacers depends on the ability to access the bolt heads with an appropriate tool for torquing the bolt. The bolt heads and spacers may be on top of the flange for the turbocharger's exhaust inlet or the bolt heads and spacers may be under the flange for the exhaust manifold. After you determine the orientation for a bolt head make sure that the spacer is on the same side of the flange. The special nut goes on the other side of the flange.Note: The 300-8579 Bolt has a locking thread that deforms the thread of the 340-9840 Special Nut. The nut may only be used one time. If the nut is loosened or removed, a new nut must be installed.For optimum performance, the fasteners must have the correct torque. To help with the installation, use one of the following torque adapters with a torque wrench.
