Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position. Open hood (1) .

Remove guard assemblies (2), (3), and (4) .

Remove guard assembly (5) .

Use Tooling (A) in order to release the tension on belt (6). Remove belt (6). Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Belt - Inspect/Adjust/Replace".
Remove bolt (7) and belt tensioner (8) .Installation Procedure

Note: If the idler pulley has been replaced, tighten the bolt to a torque of 50 5 N m (37 4 lb ft).
Position belt tensioner (8) and install bolt (7). Use Tooling (A) in order to install belt (6). Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Belt - Inspect/Adjust/Replace".

Close hood (1). Turn the battery disconnect switch to the ON position.
