Beeper Configuration    
Event     Description    
Above Grade     Audible signal when the blade is more than one times the vertical tolerance and less than four times the vertical tolerance above grade.    
Avoidance Zone (the machine is within the warning)     Audible signal when the machine is within the warning distance of an avoidance zone or if the "No Avoid" message is displayed. The beeper also sounds in a continuous pattern when the machine is within the avoidance zone.
The beeper tones for the Avoidance zone cannot be disabled.    
Below Grade     Audible signal when the blade is more than one times the vertical tolerance and less than four times the vertical tolerance below grade.    
GPS Accuracy     Audible signal when the GPS accuracy mode changes.    
Key/Switch Beeps     Sounds when a key is pressed or a switch is pressed.    
On Grade     Audible signal when the blade is within the vertical tolerance of grade.    
Warning Messages     Audible signal when a warning message appears and when a warning message automatically disappears.    In order to access the "Beeper" dialog, complete the following steps:

From the "Setup Menu – Configuration" dialog, press the arrow keys until "Beeper" is highlighted.

Press the "OK" key.The "Beeper" dialog appears. Refer to Illustration 2.Events that are disabled are identified by a cross in the box. Events that are enabled are identified by a check mark. Events that cannot be disabled are identified by a grayed out check mark. Subevents that cannot be disabled independent of the master event are also identified by a grayed out check mark.
Press the arrow keys in order to select different events.
Press the Enable/Disable soft key (1) in order to enable an event or disable an event.The different events emit different beeper patterns. To hear the pattern for a particular event, press the "Test" soft key when the event is selected.
Do one of the following.
Press the "OK" key in order to confirm the setting. The setup of the beeper is saved. The "Beeper" dialog is closed and the "Setup Menu – Configuration" dialog appears. The changes take effect immediately.
Press the escape key and then press the "OK" key in order to return to the "Setup Menu –Configuration" dialog without saving the changes.
Press the escape key in order to exit the "Setup Menu – Configuration" dialog.
