Using the Light Bars
The three light bars each show different information for your bucket position:
A vertical light bar (top) provides corrections for the cut and the fill. This light bar displays information for the lowest bucket tip relative to the design.
A horizontal light bar (center) indicates left and right corrections to the horizontal guidance line for the bucket tip that has focus.
A vertical light bar (bottom) indicates in and out corrections to the horizontal guidance line from the bucket tip that has focus.Only one of the horizontal light bars is active at a time. AccuGrade automatically selects which light bar is activated based on the excavator's orientation relative to the selected horizontal alignment. The vertical light bar only gives guidance to one bucket tip at a time. The guidance that is given by the vertical light bar indicates guidance to the following points:
The bucket tip with the smallest "Cut" value, when both bucket tips are above the temporary working surface
The bucket tip with the largest "Fill" value, when both bucket tips are below the temporary working surface
The "Fill" bucket tip, when one bucket tip is below, and one bucket tip is above the temporary working surfaceNote: For machines fitted with a tilting bucket, the light bar gives guidance to one bucket tip at a time in the same way as described above. Use text items to see the cut/fill values for both bucket tips at the same time. There are seven sets of LED indicators on each light bar. Refer to Illustration 1.

Vertical Light Bar Guidance
The cut/fill light bar gives on-grade guidance to the working surface, as shown in Illustration 2. The cross-section view guidance screen and the cut/fill light bar (1) show the following details:
The bucket is shown to be above the working surface.
Two amber LED indicators are illuminated indicating a cut or downward movement of 0.09 m (0.30 ft) is needed for the bucket to be "on-grade".
The light bar is providing guidance to the lowest bucket tip relative to the working surface.
The red square on the left side of the bucket symbol indicates the light bar is providing guidance based on the Left bucket tip.

Excavator Vertical Guidance (1) Cut/Fill light bar - lowest tip too highLeft/Right Light Bar Guidance
Excavators can operate parallel to a horizontal alignment. Horizontal guidance is given by the left/right light bar (1) once the excavator has turned so that it is parallel to the selected alignment. Refer to Illustration 3.The Plan View guidance screen and the Left/Right light bar show the following details:
The machine is rotated parallel to the selected alignment. The light bar gives left/right guidance to the bucket tip that has focus.
The "Offline" text item and arrow indicator gives distance and left/right guidance.
The bucket requires a move to the left of 0.31 m (1.02 ft) in order to be on-line. This is indicated by the "Offline" indicator. The six illuminated and flashing amber LED indicators on the right of the light bar also indicate movement to the left is required
