All Caterpillar EnginesA 6V2119 Profile Tool Group is available for inspection of crankshaft journal profile and crankshaft journal surface texture. The profile tool group has four straight edges (profile gauges) in a range of 25 mm (1") to 74 mm (2.90"). These profile gauges are used to inspect all rod and main bearing journals. The profile tool group also has a comparator surface which is used to make a comparison between a crankshaft journal surface to a standard which is the maximum roughness permitted on a bearing journal surface.
