Be sure the contact surfaces where the 1U8846 Gasket Maker is to be applied are clean and free of any foreign material.2. Clean the contact surfaces with 8T9011 or 4C4079 Component Cleaner.3. Apply a 1.5 mm (1/16 in) thick bead of 1U8846 Gasket Maker around each hole of one contact surface only. Apply a 1.5 mm (1/16 in) thick bead of the gasket maker between the holes in the contact surface. This will provide a continuous bead of gasket maker around the contact surface and around each hole in the surface.4. Apply 6V1541 Quick Cure Primer ONLY to the contact surface without the gasket maker. Allow the primer to dry for approximately one minute.5. Assemble the components and tighten bolts to the correct torque.
