Personal injury or death can result from machine movement.Place blocks in front of and behind the wheels to make sure the machine does not move while the parking brakes are disengaged.
Procedure to Check the STIC Control Lock Limit Switch
Note: Permit only one operator on the machine. Keep all other personnel away from the machine or in the operator's sight.
Move the machine to a smooth, level location that is away from operating machines and personnel.
Engage the parking brake and stop the engine.
Install the steering frame lock.
Place blocks behind the wheels and in front of the wheels.
Start the engine.

Move the transmission direction control to the NEUTRAL position. Move steering and transmission lock lever (1) to the LOCKED position.
Raise the work tool clear of the ground.
Disengage the parking brake.
With steering and transmission lock lever (1) in the LOCKED position, move the transmission direction control to the FORWARD position or the REVERSE position. If the transmission engages either direction refer to "Procedure to Adjust the STIC Control Lock Limit Switch".
If the transmission does not engage either direction, engage the parking brake. Lower the work tool to the ground and stop the engine.Procedure to Adjust the STIC Control Lock Limit Switch
Engage the parking brake. Lower the work tool to the ground and stop the engine.
Remove the cover from the steering and transmission lock assembly.

Move steering and transmission lock lever (1) to the LOCKED position.
Adjust nut (3) until the wheel on switch (2) contacts the small cam on lock (4) .
Turn nut (3) one turn in the opposite direction to create a gap between the wheel of switch (2) and the small cam on lock (4) .
Tighten nut (5) .
Install the cover to the steering and transmission lock assembly.
Check the STIC control lock limit switch. Refer to "Procedure to Check the STIC Control Lock Limit Switch".
