(1) Vent plug (2) Drain plugNote: Make sure that any pressure in the lubrication system and the air system is released before you loosen any fitting, any hose, or any component. Make sure that vent plug (1) is removed before the lubrication reservoir is filled.Remove vent plug (1) and drain plug (2) in order to fill the lubricant tank. Use 7H-1680 Lubrication Hand Pump to fill the lubricant tank through the lower drain port. Use a suitable container to collect any lubricant that is spilled.When the reservoir is empty, the reservoir holds 27 kg (60 lb) of lubricant.The automatic lubrication reservoir provides lubrication for many components. There are six fittings on the left side of the machine and there are eight fittings on the right side of the machine. There are thirteen fittings on the rear differential housing.If any of the remote lines become damaged, install a fitting in place of the remote line. Lubricate the item at the fittings until the remote line can be replaced.See Service Manual, SENR4724, "Automatic Lubrication System" for additional details.There are also two fittings for the fan bearing and for the adjusting pulley. These components are not part of the Automatic Lubrication System.
