3. Disconnect heater hoses (1) and (2) from the engine.4. Disconnect hose assemblies (3) from the transmission oil cooler. 5. Remove the clamp that holds oil lines (4) and (5) to the engine. Disconnect oil lines (4) and (5) from the bottom of the transmission oil cooler.6. Fasten a hoist to the transmission oil cooler. 7. Remove the six bolts that hold the transmission oil cooler to elbow (7).8. Remove two bolts (6) that hold the elbow to the engine.9. Remove the transmission oil cooler. Weight of the cooler is 82 lb. (37 kg). 10. Remove water elbow (8) from the transmission oil cooler.Install Transmission Oil Cooler
1. Clean the tube bundles in the transmission oil cooler with a .125 in. (3.2 mm) diameter rod used as shown. 2. Install water elbow (1) on the transmission oil cooler. Make a replacement of the O-ring seal on the elbow if necessary.3. Fasten a hoist to the transmission oil cooler. 4. Put the transmission oil cooler in position and install the bolts to hold it to the engine and water elbow. 5. Connect oil lines (2) and (3) to the bottom of the transmission oil cooler. Install the clamp to hold oil lines (2) and (3) to the engine.6. Connect the two hoses assemblies to fitting (4).7. Connect the two heater hoses to the engine.8. Fill the cooling system with coolant to the correct level.9. Check the transmission oil level.end by:a) install crankcase guard (front)
