Information:

Installing The Steering Indicator
The steering indicator is used to give the operator a reference to steer by during the cutting operation. The guide mounts in a bracket on the front track fender and can be slid in or out to position the vertical rod.Installing The Elevation Sensors, Supports And References
The sensor supports and references provide a flexibility that allows numerous arrangements to match the varying conditions on different jobs. The following described arrangements are typical, but not all inclusive. Regardless of the arrangement of the sensor supports and references, the sensors must be installed in one of two ways. If the reference rod is closer to the rear of the machine than the sensor, the sensor shaft must point away from the machine. If the reference rod is closer to the front of the machine than the sensor, the sensor shaft must point toward the machine. The arrow scribed on the sensor shaft should point up and the feeler rod should be horizontal when the sensor is nulled (no hydraulic flow in either direction). The exact null position for each sensor must be set with the engine running, after the sensor is installed, by using a screwdriver inserted into the slot in the sensor shaft to turn the shaft until there is no movement of the appropriate cylinder. The counterweight arm can then be installed tightly on the shaft. The machine is shipped from the factory with the elevation sensors already plumbed into the HYDRA-MATION System so that the elevation sensors control the appropriate elevation cylinders for proper machine operation. The sensor hoses should never be disconnected unless necessary for repair of system components.Sensor Supports
The sensor support assemblies each consist of a sensor support arm, a crank mounting bracket, a crank and a sensor mounting bracket which fit together as shown in the illustration above. The support assemblies mount to the mainframe on each side of the machine.Wheel Reference Mounted on the Cutter Housing
