FITTING, 90 DEG ADJUSTABLE 3017795C1 - Caterpillar

1. Fully extend the stick cylinder. Put the bucket and tooling (A) in position as shown. 2. Remove two caps (1) from each side of the bucket. 3. Remove three bolts and cap (2) from each side of the bucket. 4. Fasten a hoist to tooling (B) as shown. Use tooling (B) to remove the two pins which connect bowl cylinders to bowl (3).5. Start the machine and fully retract the bowl cylinder rods. 6. Fasten a hoist to tooling (C) as shown. Use tooling (C) to remove the two pins which connect the bowl to the dozer. 7. Start the machine and move dozer (4) away from the bowl. The weight of bowl is 3200 lb. (1440 kg). 8. Remove two top inside bearings (5) from the bowl with a hammer and punch. 9. Remove the two top outside bearings from the bowl with tooling (D). 10. Remove four seals (6) from the bowl. 11. Fasten a hoist to tooling (E). Remove two bearings from the bowl with tooling (E). 12. Fasten a hoist to tooling (E). Remove two outside bearings from the dozer with tooling (E). 13. Remove two inside bearings (7) from the dozer.Install Bowl
1. Install two inside dozer to bowl hinge bearings with tooling (A). Install the bearings until they are even with the machined surface. 2. Fasten a hoist to tooling (B) as shown. Install two outside dozer to bowl hinge bearings with tooling (B). Install the bearings until they are even with the inside surface. 3. Install two bowl hinge bearings with tooling (C). Install the bearings until the distance from either end of the bearing to the surface is the same. 4. Install four lip type seals in the bowl with tooling (D). Install the seals with the seal lip toward the outside of the bore. Put a thin layer of the lubricant to be sealed on the seal lips. 5. Install four top bowl bearings with tooling (E). Install the bearings until they are even with the inside surfaces. 6. Start the machine and put the dozer in position on the bowl. 7. Install two pins (1) that connect the bowl to the dozer. Use tool (F) to install the pins. 8. Fasten a hoist to the bowl cylinder. Start the machine and extend the bowl cylinder rods into position. Install two pins (2) that connect the bowl cylinder rods to the bowl. Use tool (F) to install the pins. 9. Install cap (3) on each side of the bucket with three bolts and lockwashers. 10. Install two caps (4) on each side of the bucket with seven bolts and lockwashers.
