ALL ENGINES EQUIPPED WITH AN AIR COMPRESSORProblem:
A significant number of returned air compressors do not have the Warranty Claim Number entered on the Core Credit Request Packing List Form. Also, there are air compressors being returned to the claims room that are not properly tagged.Solution:
To help ensure that returned air compressors are correctly identified and receive proper failure analysis so that corrective action might be taken, always:*Be sure to complete and attach a Blue Claims Room Tag (Form No. 01-003883) to each air compressor that is returned. Illustration 1 shows a Blue Claims Room Tag.*Be sure to enter the Warranty Claim Number on the Core Credit Request Packing List Form (Form No. 01-089513). Illustration 2 shows a Core Credit Request Packing List Form. The arrow indicates the location for the Warranty Claim Number.
