Raise the hoppers and place bar (1) in the lock position.

Remove the bolts and guard assemblies (3) and (4).

Remove cotter pin (5) and shaft (6). Turn shafts (7) counterclockwise in order to relieve the tension on drag conveyor (8).

Remove bolts (9) and nuts (10). Remove guard assemblies (11) and (12).
Remove the bolts and plate assembly (13).

Remove lock pins (14), side bars (15), and pins (16).
Repeat Step 7 on the other side of the drag conveyor.
Attach a suitable lifting strap to the bottom portion of the drag conveyor. Pull the bottom portion of the drag conveyor to the rear of the machine.

Attach a suitable lifting device to drag conveyor (8). Remove drag conveyor (8) from the machine. The weight of drag conveyor (8) is approximately 240 kg (530 lb).
Repeat Steps 1 through 10 in order to remove the remaining drag conveyor, if necessary. Installation Procedure

Use a suitable lifting device in order to position drag conveyor (8) on the machine. The weight of drag conveyor (8) is approximately 240 kg (530 lb).
Attach a suitable lifting strap to the bottom portion of drag conveyor (6). Pull the bottom portion of the drag conveyor to the front of the machine. Remove the suitable lifting device and the suitable rope.
Illustration 9 g01356318Note: During the installation of lock pins (14), bend the bottom of the lock pins toward the front of the machine.
Bring the ends of the drag conveyor together. Install pins (16), side bars (15), and lock pins (14).
Repeat Step 3 on the other side of the drag conveyor.

Install plate assembly (13) and the bolts.
Install guard assemblies (12) and (11). Maintain a clearance of 5 2.0 mm (0.2 0.08 inch) between the guard assemblies and the drag conveyor. Install nuts (10) and bolts (9).

Turn shafts (7) clockwise and tighten the tension on drag conveyor (8). Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Drag Conveyors - Adjust" in order to adjust the tension on the drag conveyor.
Install shaft (6) and cotter pin (5).

Install guard assemblies (4) and (3). Maintain a clearance of 5 2.0 mm (0.2 0.08 inch) between the guard assemblies and the drag conveyor.
Repeat Steps 1 through 9 in order to install the remaining drag conveyor, if necessary.
