Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Install the O-ring seals in the bonnets. Apply Tooling (A) to the O-ring seals. Note: The engine oil cooler core can be installed from the front or the rear of the engine.
Install bonnet (1) or bonnet (4) on the cylinder block.
Install the O-ring seals in cooler inlet elbow (2) and manifold (3). Apply Tooling (A) to the O-ring seals.
Slide engine oil cooler core (6) into bonnet (1) or bonnet (4). Rotate the engine oil cooler core into position. Install bolts (5) and bolts (7).
Install the remaining bonnet on the engine oil cooler and the cylinder block.
Fill the cooling system. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant - Change".
