(1) Battery (2) Battery disconnect switch (3) − Battery ground stud (4) Frame ground stud (5) Cab ground post (6) Cab (A) Test resistance at these two points
Measure the resistance between the negative terminal on the battery and the frame ground stud. The frame ground stud is located behind the step under the right side of the cab. The resistance should be less than 0.1 ohms. If the resistance is too high, remove the battery terminals, the disconnect switch terminals, the − battery ground stud, the frame ground stud, and the cab ground post. Clean all of the terminals and the frame ground studs.

Remove the four screws that hold the right dash panel. Pull out the dash panel. Locate the 8-pin connector for the rotary switch for the rear wiper.
Disconnect the 8-pin connector. Measure the resistance between pin "3" and the frame ground stud. Pin "3" is connected to the black wire. The resistance should be less than 0.1 ohms. If the resistance is too high, clean both the frame ground stud and the cab ground post.Note: If the resistance remains high, the ground wire of the harness should be replaced.

Required Parts
Quantity     Part Number     Description
1     308-9604     Rotary Switch
Remove existing 112-6174 Rotary Switch. Replace the old switch with the 308-9604 Rotary Switch. Reconnect the cab harness.
Reinstall the dash panel. Before you tighten the four screws, ensure that no wires are pinched by the panel.Check Machine Operation
Ensure that the area around the machine is clear. Make sure that all personnel are visible to the operator of the machine.
Start the engine. Place the directional control in the FORWARD position. Move forward at a slow speed.
Operate both the front wipers and the rear wipers. The transmission should remain in gear. The indicator lamp that shows "F" should remain illuminated.
Turn the front wiper switch to the INTERMITTENT position. Turn the switch through the time delay to the LOW position. Allow the wiper to complete one full sweep. Turn the switch to the OFF position. Allow the wiper to park. Repeat this step 30 times.
Turn the rear wiper switch to the HIGH position. Allow the wiper to complete one full sweep. Turn the switch to the OFF position. Allow the wiper to park. Repeat this step 30 times.
If the machine cannot successfully complete these tests, contact Small Wheel Loader Product Support.Locations of Components
