Fabrication and Installation of Mud Scraper Plates
Use the dimensions in Illustration 1 in order to fabricate four mud scraper plates for each Versatile Flotation System. You will be installing one mud scraper plate in front of each of the four rear idler wheels.

Remove the original bolt, the nut, and hard washer (5) from the guard.
Position one mud scraper plate (6) on the outside guard.
Then fasten the mud scraper plate by replacing the original hardware with the following hardware:
Bolt (2)
Hard washer (3)
Locknut (4) Note: Make sure that the plate is square to the guard. Also, make sure that bolt (2) is in the middle of slot (7) .
Scribe the outline of slot (7) onto the guard at location (8). Find the center of the outline of the slot. Center punch the guard for the other bolt.
Drill a clearance hole through the guard for a 9.5 mm (0.375 inch) bolt.
Install the following hardware through slot (7) and the guard at location (8) :
One bolt (1)
Two hard washers (3)
One locknut (4)
Tighten the nut.
Repeat Steps 1 through 7 for the other three locations.
